Because The Write Alley has a team of coaches, editors, and other service providers, clients can be carefully matched with the one who best meets their needs. Fees vary depending on the service, the complexity of the specific project, and the provider of service; we offer competitive rates as gathered from online research. A simple proofreading or copy editing project typically costs $40-60 an hour while copy writing and other projects are more.

For example, if we are hired for copywriting, you might give us an assignment to write to specified guidelines and provide materials. If you say, “Here is our product; tell us how to sell it using social media,” answering this would require considerable thought and research, and would be considered a separate consulting assignment. If a project is beyond our scope, we will make recommendations.

The first step in the process includes a questionnaire and an initial meeting by phone or email to determine the nature of your project, the services necessary and to determine fees. Work commences upon the receipt of a signed contact and a retainer.
