A ferocious proofreader and general lover of words, Harmony Eckberg studied English at Humboldt State University and later worked as a newspaper reporter. With experience editing subjects from motorcycle travel writing to food articles, Harmony likes to help professionals who may be experts in their field, but have trouble with the written word. Harmony has been successful in promoting small businesses by writing copy for advertising, newsletters and social networking sites. Harmony lives with her husband and two daughters in Ventura.

Living history performer and local historian Suzanne Lawrence takes oral histories and transcribes family or business stories into narratives for posterity or for performance. She also leads workshops on “Women of the Bible.”

Jason E. Ward received his BA in English from Cal State Channel Islands with an emphasis in technical writing, literature of the environment, and science writing; he also completed a minor degree in Environmental Science and Resource Management. Although he has a continued passion for creative writing, with some minor publishing success, his current focus is studying formal, legal, and professional writing styles. He is addicted to the annual series America’s Best Science and Nature Writing. Jason has a critical eye and loves perusing written works of any style; he can assist in the drafting of documents or help your prose or poetry to sparkle and shine.
