Paintings & ArtLife Poetry Broadsides

From 1996-2004, I published over three dozen poetry broadsides in ArtLife Limited Editions, a literary and art magazine bought sought and collected internationally including MOCA, MOMA, and the Guggenheim, and in the collection at the Getty, Harvard, Yale, and more. Joe Cardella published ArtLife for 25 years, from 1991-2005. Pictured is the cover from the 200th issue; below is the back cover of the November 2003 issue that featured me and my work on the front and back covers as well as inside.

As I made extra broadsides to sell, often they are available for purchase from me at readings and book signings. Since mid-March, many have been available at Kama Sutra Closet on Main in Ventura, but that show is closing June 30, 2011.

My paintings and broadsides are heading north soon to “Down Under,” a lingerie store on Carpinteria Avenue near Linden in Carpinteria.

I am also very happy to announce that the Best of VC Marketplace now carries a selection of framed and unframed broadsides at their storefront in Santa Paula. For a shipping and handling fee of $3, owner Talia Wunder will also mail broadsides to you or to the recipient of your choice.

Best of VC Marketplace also carries my poetry book, Middle of the Night Poems From Daughter to Mother :: Mother to Son (en theos press 2011).

An art show, opening and reading is being planned for fall 2011 at Best of Ventura Marketplace; I will showcase some of the full size body paintings that formed the basis of the broadsides and discuss the process of creating the art and the poetry as well as read it.

By 8/8/11, I will post a page which details the broadsides available in Santa Paul at Best of VC Marketplace.
